Trendlines - Tight vs Wide and Cutting Corners

In Mack's chart review 12/07/23 @ 13:25 on his chart, he drew a trendline just like the one below:

Normally I would draw my trendline like this:

When is it okay to cut corners on bars?

Worth reviewing the channel module. In this case, Mack's upper trendline is very, very slightly off from how he usually draws them probably due to NT8 shift.

Yours would be if using lower trendline to set.
