Hi!
I understand Mack and you are scalpong oriented.
And I heard Al Brooks works with more of swing trading (is this right?).

I am sort of a beginner (at least when it comes to no longer looking for a holy grail indicator), so I am wondering if I along the way find that my inclination is a little more in the direction of swing trading, would the course help me here or is this just for fast paced scalping?

Hope this question makes sense.
Thanks

It actually is a good question. Let's discuss first vocabulary, as the underlying greatest common denominator is reading the chart, and how to approach and study that. Al is an exceptional trader, and his video lecture is excellent.

scalp -> high probability (initial scalp trade with potential of a runner (swing).
swing -> low probability initially (initial probability is around 40% with overlap towards the scalp side).

Our particular training works to develop critical underlying concepts of Price Action and how to train it. There is a large gap in the "how" with many methods, and many are often surprised at how in depth we overview both concepts, principles, and application.

The best trading opportunities (moving beyond the definitions) occur when both swing and scalpers are both taking a trade. I've incorporated critical aspects which Al outlines, in our own format, for clarity. Additionally, we overview and study both the 2k tick charts and the 5 minute charts to become familiar with PA across a variety of environments.

Hopefully this description is helpful to you in making your decision.

Thanks for a very comprehensive answer! 🙏
I know that the 2000t chart (and 5m) are the most used ones.
Would you say that it is feasible to also use the knowledge of reading charts taught as a starting point for studying charts on different time frames?
I may be asking silly questions, still trying to orient myself in this.

One day I hope to he the one answering questions too :D

Yes.

When you understand how to look, review and analyze the elements of a chart, the meaning of "prices are fractal" takes on a whole new meaning :).

One learns to look "beyond the bars" into the meaning and message. PA is a language. One can read "the encyclopedia". However, there are perhaps easier ways to begin to develop fluency.

Good trades to you!
